Investee Description: recruits, educates and mentors high school students for Career and Technical Education and employment opportunities in the construction industry. Juniors and seniors from selected Title I schools on the west side of Charlotte currently participate in the program.

Volunteer Jobs/Projects: 

Board Development: assist in Board recruitment, onboarding, and training 

Student recruitment process: assist in perfecting process for vetting and recruiting student program participants; review current process; to be implemented by spring of 202 for fall class of 2020 

Middle School Liaison:  become a liaison for one of the three middle schools that feed the three ROC high schools; visit and expose middle school students to The ROC and helpful preparatory classes – training provided 

Marketing to Students: assist in developing materials to share with middle school students, parents, and high school guidance counselors; to be used in spring of 2020 

Marketing to funders/industry: assist to create marketing plan including website, collateral, and relationship development for industry internships and funding
