Although Lynda Wilhelm moved from Newburgh, NY to Charlotte in 1991, she and her husband, Bob, took a 6-year journey to Lincoln, NE, and returned to Charlotte earlier this year. Lynda’s career has found her in both the commercial banking world and the consulting world. Most recently, Lynda is focusing on the nonprofit sector where she adds value as an Interim CEO and Fractional CFO. Before moving back to Charlotte, she spent 12 months as an Interim CEO/CFO for a $10 million Credit Union.
Lynda’s commercial banking career included stints with Bank of America (NationsBank), First Citizens, and Mutual of Omaha Bank/CIT, where her roles included commercial relationship management, training, and leading teams of commercial underwriters. In between working at Bank of America and First Citizens, Lynda spent 10-plus years consulting in both banking and the nonprofit sector. Her banking consulting included working with major banks on their go-to-market strategy for their middle-market teams. Consulting in the nonprofit sector included executive coaching, strategic planning, and organizational development.
When not working, Lynda likes to travel with her husband, spend time with their grown daughters who both live in the Pacific Northwest, exercise, and play golf.
For 11 years, Lynda served as a Trustee at St. Bonaventure University in Western NY. While she has sat on many boards over the years, Lynda currently sits on the Center for People board in Lincoln, NE. When asked what inspired her to join SVP Charlotte, Lynda responded: “I was familiar with SVP through volunteering with SEED20 in its first year. When I heard everything else SVP is about, I wanted to be a part of it.”
