Dallas and Amy Kaplan first became engaged in SVP in 2018 before moving to Washington DC for the past six years. They are incredibly excited to reengage with SVP and to get back involved with the Charlotte community.

Dallas and Amy met at UVA Law School and are both practicing attorneys. Dallas has worked for the Department of Justice for the past nine years, and is currently serving as the First Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Carolina. Amy previously worked at McGuireWoods in Charlotte and the Department of Justice, before pursuing a passion for serving indigent communities at Legal Aid DC. After their recent move to Charlotte, Amy is continuing to work pro bono while she figures out her next step.

While Dallas is originally from Northern Virginia and Amy from Atlanta, they are no strangers to Charlotte area. Dallas attended Davidson College, and they have found themselves moving back and forth to the Charlotte area since the two were married. Dallas and Amy have two boys ages 6 and 8 attending Dilworth Elementary, and are excited to put down roots in Charlotte (although Dallas will forever be a Washington DC sports team fan). They love hiking, camping, and exploring Charlotte with their two boys.
