Jackie’s love for education first took root in Tanzania, where she tackled teaching high school math in Swahili as a Peace Corps volunteer. After returning to the U.S., she mixed her engineering degree with her enthusiasm for training and dove into a 15-year career in corporate Learning and Development. Jackie believes that curiosity and a love of learning can empower us all to keep chasing the ever-moving target of our full potential.

When she’s not busy overseeing ATI Specialty Materials L & D program, Jackie is committed to philanthropy and community service. She founded and served as the president of the U.S. chapter of a Kenyan-based nonprofit for three years, providing a safe haven for girls escaping FGM and forced child marriage. Jackie also has rolled up her sleeves with SVP chapters in Cleveland and Boulder, championing initiatives that open doors to education and opportunity.

In her free time, Jackie is an enthusiastic volunteer leader with the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organization. For over four years, she has been writing a column on leadership and professional development, sharing industry insights and leveraging her platform to shine a light on others’ thought leadership.

Jackie’s idea of fun involves climbing mountains—literally! She’s conquered both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Doom, proving that no peak is too high. Through her career, volunteer work, and adventures, Jackie enjoys making a positive impact and fostering growth and opportunity in her community and beyond.
