Lindsey Sebastyn and Anant Shah are thrilled to join Social Venture Partners and deepen their engagement in the Charlotte community. They moved to Charlotte five years ago after living in Philadelphia, Seattle, and New Delhi, bringing with them a shared passion for service, innovation, and Impact. (Anant is excited to be back in his native Charlotte, where he grew up since 1983.)
Lindsey is a seasoned strategist with global experience across marketing, communications, and international development. Lindsey brings unique expertise at the intersection of marketing and social impact. She helped launch the Gates Foundation’s first strategy division, has advised top consumer brands and managed marketing for several boutique hospitality properties and supported mission-driven organizations. She now works in climate consulting and is a member of Charlotte Mecklenburg Climate Leaders.
Anant is a public health and biotechnology leader with rich, cross‑sector experience spanning global health, infectious diseases, vaccines, and public‑private partnerships. He has held senior roles at Arthur Andersen, CDC, Gates Foundation, Merck, and now Moderna. His work focuses on driving impact at the intersection of science, technology, business, and public health. Anant has contributed to major global health priorities — including Ebola, COVID‑19, influenza, dengue, health security — and has led broader initiatives in vaccine access, immunization system strengthening, and market‑shaping innovation. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Yale; serves on the board of the UNC Gillings SPH; and is a student mentor and guest lecturer at UNC and Yale SPH.
Parents to Leela and Rohan, Lindsey and Anant are motivated to model the importance of giving back, civic engagement, and community involvement. Outside of work, they enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, perfecting homemade pizza and trying to see how many times a week their kids will ask them to ‘stop talking about politics.’ They look forward to contributing their time, skills, and resources to organizations creating meaningful change through SVP.
