Lisa and Paul met in London and had no plans to leave until kids arrived. They relocated back to the US to be closer to family, landing as transplants in Charlotte with a toddler, a baby on the way, and two busy careers in financial services. Twenty-five years later, they now call Charlotte home, supporting the Panthers, Hornets, and holding season tickets for Charlotte FC. Now that the kids (two daughters and a son) are mostly grown, Paul and Lisa are eager to apply their professional and life experiences to support social innovation and strengthen the Charlotte community by becoming members of Social Venture Partners Charlotte.
Lisa has enjoyed a multifaceted, multi-decade career in Financial Services working mostly in London, U.K. and Charlotte. She has held executive leadership roles in Product Development, Risk Management, Consumer Mortgages, Audit and Compliance. She currently works as a consultant with Greenway Solutions Consulting group focusing primarily on Financial Crimes, business strategy, policy, and governance. Throughout her career, Lisa has most enjoyed solving complex problems and helping people and teams reach their full potential.
Paul has also enjoyed a varied career in Financial Services with leadership and executive roles in Portfolio Management and Risk Management for Deutsche Bank (London), Bank of America and TIAA. For Paul, the chance to join Social Venture Partners represents a tremendous opportunity to continue learning and applying the skills learned over a long career in Finance to helping our energetic, nonprofit community engage and improve Charlotte’s quality of life.
Lisa and Paul enjoy traveling, cycling, the arts, and spending time with their extended family. They are looking forward to applying their skills to the community issues sponsored by Social Venture Partners and learning more about serving the nonprofit space.
