SVP Investee Mid-Year Update: Feeding Charlotte
Feeding Charlotte is halfway through the year, and they’re already making a huge difference in the fight against hunger!
Here’s a look at some of their impressive accomplishments this year:
- Fundraising on the Rise: They’re on track to surpass their goals this year, thanks in part to an additional generous donation from SVP Corporate Partner RSM.
- Boardroom Boost: FC welcomed new board members, two of whom connected with them through SVP’s public newsletter. That’s in addition to RSM’s Sam Sanders becoming FC’s treasurer!
- Coffee & Collaboration: A brainstorming session with SVP Partners helped FC generate fresh ideas to secure more food donations.
- Food for All: Donations are at an all-time high, with a 150% increase through a major contribution from Spectrum Center (7,000 lbs.), with more food expected from Bank of America Stadium. In May and June alone FC rescued over 27,000 lbs. of food!
- Spreading the Word: Their new mission video is a must-watch!
- New Home on the Horizon: Shortly after SVP Partner Mike Burkard reviewed their new office lease, FC moved into Nourish Up‘s Hunger Hub, which now provides them with office and meeting space, cold food storage and so much more! To learn more about this innovative space, click here.
