SEED20 Alumni Network, by Debbie Darden (Pictured: SVP Partner, Joanne Beam)
One of the unique features of SEED20 is that we don’t just wish the non-profits well and wave goodbye after the checks are handed out at each year’s OnStage event. We stay in touch, and provide various opportunities for them to stay connected to one another as well as the SVP Partners.
Both SVP Partners and SEED20 Alumni comprise the Alumni Network Committee, which organizes these events for the entire alumni group. In early October, SVP partner Joanne O’Brian Beam led a workshop on fundraising that was held at Promising Pages’ office space. Partners Jodi Hummer and Anne Schmitt worked with Jen Band from Playing for Others on a successful Fall Harvest networking event for the alumni so the various classes could get to know one another. We have another workshop scheduled for the winter, and will hold our annual Welcome Party for the new class in the spring after SEED20 2018.

The Alumni truly appreciate SVP and their SEED20 experience. They are 120 strong now, and making a real difference in our community. Watching them develop collaborative relationships, share best practices and challenges and just enjoy each other is a pleasure.
