Heather Karriker recently joined SVP as Associate Director. She comes to the Charlotte team with a background and passion for partnering with Title 1 schools in education and looks forward to larger scale involvement with venture philanthropy. Before coming to SVP, Heather worked in Title 1 schools to increase awareness of the academic, social and emotional needs of students, and create stronger connections with local agencies, churches, schools and nonprofits.  She received both her B.A. and M.A. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and loves attending the football games. Heather also enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their two young children.
