In a groundbreaking collaboration, SVP Charlotte proudly welcomes LendingTree as a dedicated Corporate Partner committed to capacity building and community transformation. LendingTree made waves in 2021 by showcasing a profound commitment to community improvement through a trust-based philanthropy approach and an innovative corporate giving model.
With an innovative trust-based philanthropy initiative, LendingTree launched its inaugural LendAHand Alliance Cohort program last year, involving 10 local nonprofits. Notably, over half of these organizations were previous participants in either Social Venture Partners Charlotte’s SEED20 or Investee Program. The program, extending over three years, not only offers financial support but also focuses on capacity building, reflecting LendingTree’s dedication to fostering sustainable growth within the community.
With a robust presence of over 1,200 employees nationwide, LendingTree has a significant impact, with approximately 650 employees based in Charlotte and still growing. In September, SVP Charlotte is thrilled to extend its influence by bringing two impactful nonprofit board workshops to LendingTree’s world-class headquarters in South End. These workshops will provide valuable insights for employees keen on exploring the basics of nonprofit board leadership and offer growth opportunities for those already serving on nonprofit boards.
April Whitlock, Head of Corporate Citizenship and the Executive Director of Lending Tree Foundation, expressed LendingTree’s attraction to SVP Charlotte, stating, “We are investing in SVP because they reflect our philosophy of empowering emerging nonprofits. We believe in providing funds and resources for capacity building and are happy to expand our reach with this partnership. In addition, SVP provides board workshop training for our employees so they can be better corporate citizens in the communities where they live and work.”
SVP Charlotte eagerly anticipates hosting workshops that will not only enrich LendingTree’s talented employees but also contribute to making the greater Charlotte area nonprofits stronger and more impactful for the benefit of all. This collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering positive change and community empowerment. #SVPCharlotte #LendingTree #SVPCorperatePartners
