SEED20 Alumni Enrichment Workshop:

Equipping Board Members with Fundraising Tools and Insights

Nineteen nonprofit leaders and board members from 12 SEED20 alumni organizations attended a two-hour interactive workshop on September 18th focused on improving board fundraising effectiveness. Generously hosted by TowneBank, the working lunch session was facilitated by SVP Board member Adam Wassell and Executive Director Kristin Winkle Beck, who covered board responsibilities, fundraising trends and principles, plus practical tools to use during board meetings. Attendees offered positive feedback following the workshop, with one noting, “The big picture of fundraising paths and the donor cycle were really helpful for my mindset.” The workshop encouraged small group discussions, allowing alumni to strengthen relationships and exchange ideas long after the session ended.
