I am excited to have the opportunity to support our nonprofit community not only as the 2019 Seed20 Lead Partner but also as the Marketing Director for SHARE Charlotte. SHARE Charlotte and Social Venture Partners share a common goal to cultivate and strengthen our local nonprofit community. – Melissa Hovey, SVP SEED20 2019 Lead Partner
SHARE Charlotte is a resource for our nonprofit partners and offers three key benefits:
- Visibility – sharecharlotte.org provides fun and easy ways for the community to engage with our nonprofit partners. SHARE Charlotte also leads three large community-wide giving campaigns: DO GOOD Week, Summer SHARE & #GivingTuesdayCLT which highlight three different ways to give by donating: time, tangible goods, and money. SHARE Charlotte social channels (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) also provide additional visibility for our nonprofit partners through our robust social media presence.
- Networking Opportunities – Each month, SHARE Charlotte invites our 430+ local nonprofit partners to a monthly networking coffee, which we call SHARE-a-Latte. It is an informal way for our nonprofit partners to meet each other and meet community leaders as each month we feature a special guest. Past special guests include: Charlie Elberson, Toussaint Romain, James Ford, Brian Collier, Mayor Lyles, Blair Stanford, Duke Energy Foundation, the Wells Fargo Foundation and several more!
- Education -The SHARE Innovation Lab Workshop Series, presented by OrthoCarolina, provides a way for nonprofit leaders to learn from and interact with industry experts. These workshops focus on business development and include topics such as: Fundraising Bootcamp taught by The Association of Fundraising Professionals-Charlotte, Board Cultivation and Development taught by Andi Stevenson, and Storytelling and Media Pitching taught by Michelle Boudin.
